They don't wrap around the ankle, just the hem. Just below the waist. NO drawstring to adjust. I have three pairs of these - perfect for lounging around the house or a quick bit of shopping - I run the plus size and they do NOT have a tear in the back, big enough not to slip off. at the waist. I'm so disappointed. I think the size of the pants ordered was wrong. They would fit a 200 lb woman. I ordered a small petite, I weigh 106 pounds. They didn't even get up. They just fell on my ankles. The label sewn to the pants says Petite Small. Something went wrong at the factory. The good news is when I wanted to go back the money was credited to me and I didn't have to return the sweatpants. They make a good duster, or I can just put them in my Salvation Army gift bag.

I bought several Hanes joggers, all in size XL. I received the light gray and the dark blue today. Check out the comparison. Both have XL labels that say Hanes, but as you can see the navy is much larger than the grey. I usually wear size XL and the blue fits great even a bit big. The gray is TOO SMALL and by looking at the tags the one on the gray pair appears to be an unrecognizable tag whereas the red tag on the navy pair looks exactly like the Hanes tag I'm familiar with. Highly recommended for the price. I read from others that they run big, I ordered a size smaller - perfect. They are thick enough for a child but not too thick to be bulky. I'm 5ft 3" and the Petite go perfectly with flats, trainers and wedges. Because the strap goes through the seat very comfortably and comfortably. With them I found inexpensive, warmer than pajamas, easy on and off dress pants that are also the perfect petite length for colder weather (we keep our house on the cool side). These are my favorite jogging pants. I usually wear XL petite pants and that's exactly what I ordered in these. I usually wear a 28 inch inseam and these are probably 28.5 inches.
