The strap itself is great but if I were to order again I would get a strap with loops instead of hooks. If anything fails about this strap I guarantee it will be the spring clips on the hooks if not the hooks themselves. Do yourself a favor and get a strap that ends in firmly sewn loops and use D- links to connect.

Driving down the freeway in the rain and seeing a Ford Crown Victoria parked at the bottom of a small hill. Turns out she flew around the corner and her car got stuck on soft ground. Took this little one out, attached it to my trailer hitch, attached it to a secure point on her car and pulled it out with no problems! Very strong, definitely recommend.

I bought this tow rope hoping that the affordability was only due to efficiency gains and not quality. Needless to say I was wrong. The rope began to break at a distance of a foot after one use. A use. Added to this is the magnetic nature of the cable. Dirt sticks immediately. Not that I really care, but I moan and moan about it. Tears are the real problem here. Maybe a defective item? These belts always cost a lot more than they should. This would be fine for towing a car that weighs less than 3,000 pounds. The information mentions: 5,000 lbs recommended vehicle weight - safety rating to deal with judder, stuck vehicle, towing, rubbing etc. If the cable is pulled, the stress on the cable is extremely high, it will not hold up. this kind of abuse. It would be nice to restore a side-by-side or UTV. It might work for a full-size car, but I'd steer clear of it if it's…

Haven't used them yet but on closer inspection they seem to be well made and have nice strong wide opening galvanized hooks. With the hook latch open, the hooks slide onto a 7/8 inch diameter round bar. With the hook latch closed, they will only fit a 0.5" diameter round bar.
