I ordered 2 mini USB rectangular cables and received 2 micro USB cables. Needless to say I couldn't use them. I was only given a 30-day right of return, even on my main account.

Used DVR connection kit. So far there are no problems. I connected it to the dashcam so it turns on when the car is turned on. I can't comment on the battery protection as I didn't intend to use it for this purpose.

I accidentally wrote a bad review about this product and I'm sorry I did. I wanted to write about a different product from a different seller. This wired DVR works as described.

In my case it should turn on at 12V or higher, well it definitely doesn't turn on at the advertised 11.6V. It turns off at 12.2V, which is my nominal voltage in my truck apparently when it's not running. I sincerely hope to return this because it doesn't work reliably with my dashcam and can't be good for a dashcam that turns on and off every 1-2 seconds when the engine is off, otherwise the alternator will do it do not Increase the voltage above what appears to be 12. 3. in uncertainty.

Attention buyers. When trying to pull the wire out, the fuse holder separated from the rest. It looks like the wire wasn't crimped properly. I had to remove the headliner to get the fuse box. I went to some trouble tearing off the headliner and hard-wiring it to the sunroof power switch - it was the perfect solution as the sunroof only gets power when the key is in the ON position. My dash cam turned on and worked fine, but 20 minutes later as I was driving down the street the dash cam signaled to turn off the power.
