Suitable for brewing with ice.

I get quite a bit out of this brewery. It's great for brewing directly onto ice cubes without the risk of breaking the glass chamber because the cubes have to fall straight to the bottom of the glass. I wish the brewer was thicker glass like Pyrex. The filter basket is made of heavier glass and is protected by a silicone ring. Nice gesture. A silicone ring on the bottom of the cooking chamber would be nice. Hint Hint Hario! Overall, I really like this system and have used it almost exclusively…

Pouring coffee, what's not to love?

I've been making infusion coffee for 3 years now. But I use one of those washable drippers and brew one cup at a time. To be honest, out of the standard coffee brewing methods (drip, instant, kcups), I find pouring coffee the best for flavor and aftertaste. The coffee is never bitter and the aftertaste is clean. They don't have an astringent or bitter aftertaste. HARIO is ideal for preparing large portions of coffee. It comes with all accessories such as paper filter, glass carafe, glass…

Not very well balanced

I love Hario machines but there are too many contradictions in this coffee maker to be perfect - The carafe itself is a very thin glass, about the same as a wine glass. This is typical of Hario containers, but all the others I've used have been much smaller or much more rounded. In this case it seems too fragile. The handle of the carafe also seems to be raised too high. That said, all of this would really be better balanced when pouring if the grip was lower on the body. The cone is one of the

Used for hot brewing (pouring) or cold brewing

The pour function is all the rage now, but it's really nothing new. This method has been around since the 1970s, if not earlier. This works fine as long as you have the patience. My advice is to have a hot tap built in (just below boiling point) which makes this SUPER easy to use, although still a bit slower than a French press due to drain time. In terms of use, it's more wasteful and expensive (uses a paper filter but is compostable). As for taste, I think it depends on the coffee. I think…

Great infusion for the perfect cup of coffee

What I hate most about automatic coffee makers is that they tend to offer few settings and adjustments that you can make while brewing. Of course, some of them allow the user to set longer or shorter brew times and program when the coffee should be brewed. Others also allow the user to set different brewing temperatures. I've never used anything electric that offers as precise control as a Pour Over. This is a very easy and fun pourover. The glass is thick and resistant to high temperatures. It

Excellent ice cold or hot coffee

I've been brewing the pourover method for at least 10 years; this is my daily favorite drink. I've tried several other manual coffee horns - they all make great coffee but not as good as the Hario IMO. This set makes delicious and light iced coffee or hot coffee. Everything is made of glass except for the ice bucket. The ice bin can be removed when you want to make hot coffee. The Hario has large, curved ribs that prevent the filter from sticking to the sides and having to be adjusted to keep…
