Copper Hario V60 Dripper Review

As the cone is metal it gets hot and even when I cleaned it immediately after use the metal oxidized which looks like stains on it. Also the fit of most cups is less comfortable compared to the ceramic option. I personally prefer the ceramic V60.

Super happy satisfied and pleased with the quality of this Hario copper dropper. Even nicer in hand than in the picture. Very high quality. And at least this one was really new, no scuffs, scratches etc. It's perfect. Beautiful workmanship, high quality. Continuous. It turned out better than I had hoped.

I bought it just for looks but it's actually expensive and inherently flawed. First, copper is a great conductor of heat, which means it's great at lowering the temperature of the water when brewing, which is exactly what you don't need. Also, copper is toxic and can leach into food if you put acidic foods (e.g. coffee) into copper items. To counteract this there is a nickel liner that tarnishes instantly and can be harmful to you.

This is a great device. it is light, functional and very beautiful. The reason I gave it a star is because unlike the ceramic model, this model consists of three separate pieces that are riveted together. In most cases this isn't a problem, but when you fill it *fully* - when you want to brew multiple cups of coffee at a time - something will leak right where the cone meets the cup. Base.
