Harris Welding Helmet Clear 1010010 Review

I ordered these for my husband's metal fiber welding helmet in the early 1970's and they fitted perfectly, arrived in perfect condition and were great value.

This brand of lenses works much better than other brands! You can weld every day straight for two or three weeks, depending on the process, and your lens will still be good.

my favorite lenses by far, they are more scratch resistant than any other lenses i have used in the past, every day i use headlight polish/scratch remover on these lenses and they are virtually scratch free and lasts at least a few weeks before i need to replace them, definitely worth the money!

The lens is perfect for inserting the outer case. I would suggest adding another lens to the inner shell, but if you are using an adjustable auto dimmer like the Lincoln 2xc4 I suggest you take a box cutter and score the lens a couple of times to allow room to put your dimmer on set on the spot. Not many people do this. It works great for me!

This is for pipers. Although three times longer than the cheaper ones, you can wipe the deposits off with a glove and carry on. I use one outside and one inside my filter plate. Flipping requires an impact lens on the side of the helmet, so you have some reassurance when flipping if the cutting wheel is too lazy to switch. to blast the stone. I use mine with both passive glass and auto-darkening Arcon.

Before purchasing this product I purchased ten packs of clear contact lenses from my local Praxair store for $5. I thought I got a good deal but turns out they scratch very easily and spatter very quickly. Looking for clear lenses I came across these in the hope that they would be better than the Praxair lenses and after 3 days of intensive use with the pulse mic I have to say I am very happy with them so far. The quality is definitely top notch. much better and doesn't scratch as easily…
