🦅 Hawk Performance HB501Z.625 Ceramic Brake Pads for Optimal Performance Review

Install front and rear brake pads on my 2011 Q7. Can't recommend her more. No noise, little dust. Would rate them 6 stars if it were possible.

I am thrilled with the performance, quiet and smooth operation and minimal dust of these pads on my 2013 Audi Q7. I will definitely buy them again when they wear out.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. I usually average reviews to buy a product, but was I wrong! Worst brake ever! The creaking started 2 weeks after installation. Terrible creaking noise, as if the brakes were already worn out! I will never buy this product, expensive and worthless like dead weight!

Low Dust - None. They're a little dusty. They fall between Akebono (no dust) and OEM (a lot of dust). Biting at low temperature - very low. They are marginal for everyday driving and quite dangerous in cold weather. until they get hot. Bite at high temperature is good. Fade - they fade pretty quickly. Friendly to rotors - they eat rotors like crazy. I am not at all happy with these pads. They seem to have the disadvantages of classic ceramic pads, but there are no advantages.

I have always used Akebono ceramic pads on my BMWs which I think are by far the best but they are not made for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo so I gave these a try. They can be just as good as akebono pads. No noise, good braking and very little dust. If you drive a German car, you should part with bearing pads. This dust is terrible. My rims look cleaner than the rest of the car. Brake calipers and all other parts inside the wheel are not contaminated with black dust and dirt, as is the case with…

I bought these pads a year ago and have driven 30,000 miles on them. They work great for stopping distance, not as good as the originals but they work. You get used to the difference, and there's a lot less dust. I've never seen a pair of pads wear out so quickly, despite the price they cost. If these were the cheapest pads you can buy I would be happy with their durability. For a hundred bucks they squeak too much for my liking. I will not buy again.
