Bought to connect my new Windows 10 laptop with HDMI to our old projector with VGA. Just plug it in and it works as advertised, just what I needed!

not what i thought.

I didn't understand what it was for, I thought it would allow you to connect a VGA monitor to the graphics card's HDMI port, but it does actual Used to connect the VGA connector to an HDMI monitor or TV screen.

Works perfectly with HDMI to VGA adapters

My daughter needed a monitor so she could see her small chrome screen while teaching remotely. We had one that we were using and needed an adapter to connect it to a Chromebook! The adapter came pretty quickly and works great!

used for 3rd monitor, not always connected

I connected this to my USB and my 3rd monitor is connected to it. When I wake up the computer for the first time in the morning, the third monitor doesn't turn on and I usually have to restart the computer for it to turn on. Then when I open a new version of the working software, the third monitor goes black and moves all the windows that were on that screen to one of the other two. Then the 3rd window opens again. It hurts a bit, but it works in the end.

Works well.: Computers and accessories

I was a little worried if people didn't like the quality. I see no problems - the picture is normal. It controls the Dell monitor. I code, I don't watch movies. The only surprise I wasn't prepared for was that when I plugged it in, the audio was gone from my laptop - it goes through the HDMI port. We need to look for a way to keep the audio on the PC. In general I am satisfied.

I only use this for audio. and still left and right reversed

Note: With a 4-way HDMI splitter I can run an HDMI to the monitor; an HDMI-HDMI-USB converter; and an HDMI to HDMI VGA converter (for the headphone jack as my monitor doesn't have audio output but I need to use a different adapter setting as this unit also inverts left and right audio). Audio and video appear in real time on all devices and I can use VLC (Open Source Media Player) to convert USB audio/video to MP4 recordings.
