Head Black Widow Racquetball Racquet Review

Great racquet but too heavy for my style of play. I ended up selling it to a friend of mine and it greatly improved his speed and ball accuracy.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She loves it. Great racket at a great price. We're just weekend warriors so I can't compare it to pro brawlers but it works for us.

I really like the Head Liquid Metal 170 but the frame broke after 2 uses and I sent it back. The Black Widow 160 has a sweet spot that gives you power, but after 3 or 4 games the 3rd vertical string is often out of place. I just put it back in, it doesn't matter. Overall the racquet has surprising power and control, is very light and I've really seen an improvement in the game, and the $129 price point is reasonable.

This racquet has a microcrack after 5 months of use. I continued to play with it and after 10 months the crack had become so severe that the strings were no longer taut. I've had cheap Walmart rackets that last a lot longer than this one. For the price I paid I wouldn't buy it again! I don't play tournaments, this racquet doesn't take abuse so it should have lasted much longer than it did. I bought this because one of the other ladies I play with had one.
