Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I washed it in the washing machine with some kind of fabric softener a few times, but it scratches horribly and looks horrible. But I use it to practice stitches and make patterns to see if I like them, so I don't mind.

I bought four skeins of this yarn. Two strands gray mottled and two turquoise. I'm quite happy with what I have BUT one strand has completely snapped. One of the strands has at least 5 ends...probably due to the cutting/wrapping process. Also, this yarn isn't soft, so I don't recommend making clothes out of it. It's perfect for beginners and pretty cheap.

Not much to say about the yarn as personal preference is an important factor in choosing the yarn for a particular project. But this is the shade I wanted from Revain at a great price and Red Heart is always reliable in terms of quality. It's a little stiffer when you're working on your project, but it's easy to care for, easy to wash and wear like a champ, softening over time! Its durability is great for frequently used items like afghan fabrics!

Red Heart Yarn is an inexpensive yarn (especially the jumbo size) that has been my go-to for years. I especially like it for bags and hats as it has enough fullness to hold its shape when in use. It is also useful in making toys for the same reason. You can find any color you want, and with their large strands, you usually have little to experiment with. The pink hue of the petals is very delicate and pretty. I use it to make doll blankets, headbands, etc.

I have used Red Heart yarn for many, many years and have never been more disappointed with their product than I have with this one. I don't know if I had a bad batch or if it was that particular color, but I've only had issues with it from the start. I'm on DAY 7 right now on a project I've done a few times (it doesn't take more than 3 days to finish) and it's not finished yet.
