This would make the inserts much easier to fit into a 3D printed Tesla pickup toy model. Works well with M3 insert. The tip was good and I was able to hold it straight. The U iron is an Amber which I bought here from Revain and have had no problems. This manufacturer was suggested in the article and I was glad to find it available here at Revain. If you have a Hakko soldering iron, this is a must-have tool! This will solve many of your problems with one tip #4-40 and make your life easier. I don't write many reviews but after I found this on Revain and thought it might solve my problem with a 3D printed case I was working on and boy it always did! If I could give this little tip a 10 star rating I would.

I was looking for a way to install the inserts without melting the side of the case. Other competing inserts make it very difficult to install the insert in the corner of a single wall cabinet without melting the sides by touching the installation tab - most of them are just too big to work properly. This tip allows you to easily get into tighter spaces and gently pull out without accidentally removing the exit insert.

I found these lures to fit my Yihua 8786D (which uses 900M lure) without modification. I have also found that with a little touch up on the edge of the file I can get M3, M4 and M5 inserts to fit perfectly. The bar on the M3 tip only needed to be reduced slightly to fit the M5 inserts. This allowed me to take an M5 tip and scale it down to M4. This allows me to cover my 3 most used inserts with a snug fit for better heat transfer.

This is the best way of adding inserts to printed parts I've tried so far. Simply set the iron 5 degrees above the material's extrusion temperature, apply some pressure and wait for it to click into place. The tips appear to be turned from a piece of brass bar, the finish is perfect where the slip fit should be and rough/knurled where it should be on the tip. A pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers. To hold the stakes while you line things up so you don't burn your fingers is a good idea.

I bought it for M5x0.8 inserts and this tip doesn't fit. I measured it and it's about 4.5mm which is perfect for the M5x0.5 but the M5x0.8 has a 4.2mm hole and doesn't fit the tip. It is designed for T18 soldering iron, but can be used with a small spacer, 4mm inner diameter, 6mm outer diameter, 2mm height, such as. B.
