🔲 4x6 Heavy Duty Aluminium Pyramid Post Cap - Black (Works ONLY with Actual 4x6 Wood Posts) Review

We put them on the porch of our cabin. We painted them with copper. The husband cut the poles down to the bottom of the porch. We are so happy with the view. In my opinion, this completes the look of the porch! I love her!

Beautiful cast aluminum cap with a matte black finish. It looks like it's going to take forever. Easy attachment with two included black screws. Prevents our wooden mailbox from rotting from the rain lying on it. A bit expensive but looks very nice.

Excellent product, reliable and perfectly finished. Fits like a glove on my 3.5x5.5 bar. Since I had oiled bronze numerals mounted on the 5.5" face, I painted the cap with oiled bronze metal. Otherwise black was hard.

My cedar pole was badly rotted from the rain. These caps are designed for a 6x6" rack but fit my 6x6 racks which are actually 5.5x5.5" with a slight overhang. I spray paint to better match the color of the cedar with a slight copper tint.

We have added these end caps to our deck posts and are very pleased with their appearance. We believe the caps extend the life of the wooden poles as we have found that putty and paint are not very durable for moisture protection etc and this causes the pole to wear out more quickly.

I ordered about 6 pieces for fence posts. They have a really good shape and fit and are easy to install with just a few screws. I'm sure they will last a lot longer than the partially wooden ones that came before. My only complaint is that most of them came with minor cuts and inconsistencies in the cast. They were still all black and you won't notice them unless you get close to them, but at a premium price point it would be nice if they were finished more consistently.

We are finishing up a project for a porch and have had trouble finding good stud caps to put on our 6x6 studs. The plastic looks cheap and fades, and some available caps are stupidly expensive or made for a true 6x6 rather than the nominal 6x6 (which is actually 5.5x5.5).
