If you want to get up and get separated from your house and hack

I towed my house with it and my house ended up in another county. I didn't understand the breakdown until my Bigfoot called me from a different area code. She was in the back roasting chitlins. We landed at a beach property until the creek swelled, and then Bigfoot and the Chitlins landed in another area code, on a muddy shore. You win something, you lose something, and sometimes you never know where you're going to end up. Heck, I'm typing this and my Bigfoot just informed me that there's aโ€ฆ

Useful and adaptable tow bar extender

Couldn't find a tow bar extender with multiple holes to adjust the length properly to attach my bike rack to the back of a road trailer. I found this article online at Revain and it did the job. Durable and well made. I wasn't exactly happy with their set screw that doesn't go through the other side of the hitch, but I found the Swagman bike rack screw worked well so I used that and bought a different bike rack screw. The hitch extension comes with a rattle reducing insert which is nice. Youโ€ฆ

Strictly easy deal!

Very light! I didn't see "not for towing" in the description and ordered it. Dissatisfied! Luckily for me, the purpose I bought it for, towing light trailers short distances with my ATV, is probably doable. But obviously this device cannot be used for towing on the road or for towing over rough terrain (I intended that purpose too). Another disadvantage is that a bolt is used for attachment instead of a detachable pin. I assume this won't result in many connections and disconnections. Aโ€ฆ

Love it so far! Gave me just the space I needed between my car's bumper and the tray in the back so I and my Malinois could easily get in and out of the back deck. Nearly perfect. My only wish is that I can use it at less than 11 inches, but unfortunately when I try to push it further into my hitch it stops at the point where the neck gets smaller and the hole of my existing hitch doesn't about 1 equals /2"; I could cut off the end of my existing one I guess so I can tuck it in further, butโ€ฆ

Perfect for Bike Rack

I have oversized tires on my Jeep Wrangler. So when I tried to use the Thule trunk I couldn't detach it to get into the trunk. The strut actually hit the tire and I couldn't get it out of the way. This product solved that problem. It's hard work - much harder than I expected. I installed it in my hitch with the second hole, so I had to move the anti-vibration piece around with a chisel and rubber mallet. I bought a threaded Heninger 6001 Advantage SportsRack Hitch Lock to keep the hitchโ€ฆ

DON'T SPEND MONEY

We bought this extension because it was supposed to be for mounting bikes. We transport 3 aluminum mountain bikes and a regular women's mountain bike on a Ford F-550 Thor Chateau RV that can tow 10,000 pounds. It all started well, and then we were on our way! The bike rack was pretty wobbly. That made me nervous. This was the first time we used this extender! Our journey was from Houston, Texas to Crossville, Tennessee. then to Ackerman, miss. On the way back to Houston from Mississippi, ourโ€ฆ

Good product but does not appear to be adjustable as described

We bought this product because the description said "Heininger Advantage hitch extensions are designed to extend the receiver hitch to 11". We found that when attaching the bike rack, the extension could only be locked down the full length of the 11" extension to allow the holes to line up. Not a big deal, but if flexibility is what you're looking for, you may not find this item as flexible as you'd hoped given the description and drawing with dimensions in the Revain description. It's fine, but it's not as adjustable as advertised, and .

This hitch extension is "adjustable" because it has two holes on the receiver's male end and two holes on the female end. Depending on how you insert this extension into your car (hole one or two) and how you insert a bike rack or whatever into the "female" end (hole one or two), there is some adjustment as to how far You can get extensions. . In theory. I was hoping to use the SMALLEST number of extensions to get about 7 inches of extension. I had to lengthen my Thule T2 bike rack just enoughโ€ฆ
