I have a manual trolling motor which is great at everything but I don't feel comfortable bending down all day to adjust what I need. This extension fixes EVERYTHING! A screw for attachment to the handle simplifies assembly. Adjust to your length. I sit down with the new grip in my lap, start throwing and ride in total comfort! The swivel on the handle makes it sooooo easy to move left, right, straight, yes the swivel/U joint is one of my best friends now. :)

Easy to install in under 5 minutes on a very thick 1980 Johnson 7.5hp cultivator. The cutout shows the kill button as advertised. Extends and retracts very easily with a secure locking knob every 4 or 5 inches. If I had to swear, it would be that the foam grip is a little soft and doesn't feel as secure as I would like. It seems to slip a little because the glue holding it doesn't slip. Maybe I just have to get used to it. Or maybe I'll replace it with a stronger, more firmly glued grip.

I use this product on my Newport trolling motor, 55lb pull, gray color. Be sure to use a rubber insert, but to fully seat it onto the trolling motor handle you will need to use dish soap and dampen it a little. Trust me, it's worth the extra effort. You want an extension handle that is safe and comfortable when using it on the water. Delivery was quick, I never got a straight answer if it would fit a 25hp Johnson 2-stroke outboard. I actually saw where someone said it was suitable for Yamaha. So I thought I'd try. fits very well. I had to remove the rubber insert, I believe the insert for trolling motors. This product is snug which means I had to wet the handle a bit and then tap it gently with a rubber mallet. Bought for my kayak. Works flawlessly. Quick release adjustment and smooth versatile. Def is worth the money. At least he'll be strong enough to fight back against the jaws if he dares sneak in and try to catch my fish. The only complaint is that the part that deals with your grip is a bit flimsy.
