Everything was painless for me until this evening (approx. four months after the piercing) I tried to remove the earrings to clean my back. Painless application but the back got stuck in the mechanism so pulling it off was painful. Nightmare. A few nervous breakdowns later and I was ready to go. But then after a few days I started noticing irritation and pain. I also bravely removed the backs and they were completely black due to the cheap material. I contacted customer service and they refunded my money thank goodness.

I would not recommend saving two or three dollars on this product. Spend the extra money or you will regret it. This item broke halfway through the piercing causing the piercing to get stuck in my ear. This then turned the piercing down and ended askew. Three days later the piercing turned black and with that my ear started to turn black too. By far the worst product I've ever received. I regret the money, time and hearing expended on this product. I used Sally's piercing kit and wanted to try a few on Amazon. I will say that I love how easy they are! They won't get stuck as long as you apply enough pressure. I used this set on my sister and it was very easy! I highly recommend it if you are trying to get your ears pierced at home! It's better than spending $50+ on them! Also, don't forget to buy an ear cleaning kit! I haven't had any problems with ear bleeding or infections.

Can't argue with the price. I bought this product in May 2019. And got 2 extra piercings on each earlobe from then until November 2019. I had no signs of infection. I would recommend washing your hands before following the instructions and waiting a few weeks before changing your earrings.
