Excellent portable roof rack

Easy to install. The straps allow the bags to be pulled very snugly to the roof (tighter than other temporary roof racks I've used). The kayak tie down straps are also very good and offer a very snug fit. The only thing I would like is front and back straps instead of a tie. The ties work, but it's harder to get a snug fit than if they were straps like the ones that go through a car.

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Worked great for transporting my SUP board!

I figured I'd have to spend $800 on Audi accessories to get my $700 kayak board home from the beach. After a little research I decided on HEYTRIP Soft Rack Pads. I was nervous because I still had 95 miles to go, mostly on the freeway. It was definitely a bit noisy when I hit 50mph, but they worked great. The board can't connect it to the front and back of the car, but it still holds tight. Definitely recommend!

Sturdy, safe and easy to use

This jig held our tandem kayak in place for 4 hours in the rain. Pay attention to a few points: Make sure the kayak is tied down securely. There should be no sagging - make sure that people in the car do not play with cables and clamps. We had kids in the car. The straps that go through the kayak will seep water into the car when riding in the rain. Water was dripping into our car throughout the drive. The most important part is security. The kayak did not move or rock on the roadway or…

This is a very well made product! I got it because I wanted something I could quickly take off the car, put on the kayak and toss down the river onto the car. But unfortunately I have a larger hatch (Subaru Forester) that flexes a bit when I tighten the kayak. Unfortunately I can't save this, but I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't. Easy to install, lightweight and seems really safe. Seriously if I thought this product was inferior I wouldn't rate it but I'm very impressed even though I…

DO NOT USE IN THE RAIN!

I installed this and it started raining. This didn't bother me as two reviews said it would be fine in the rain. I went in and came back an hour later to wet the front and back seats and the water ran down the straps and stained my center console. I contacted the company and they refunded my money. This is her reply to me and nowhere in the ad does it say so. "We do not recommend using this top box in rainy weather as it is fitted through the door which allows rainwater to enter the passenger…

Easy to use, upholstery is fine,

I bought this for a 10ft kayak to put on my SUV with a sunroof that takes up most of the roof. It's really easy to install and I really like two Proposition products. I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL and the sunroof comes almost to the front of the car where the hood starts to slope down. Not to weigh down the solarium when I have to put a pillow in front of it that tilts it and doesn't really support the front of the kayak. After some trial and error I think I'll have to get a thick block of foam
