Simple, elegant functionality

For me, this juicer squeezes juice easily and at a great price. I also like that it's made of wood instead of plastic. However, it does not capture the pulp and seeds. It does not bother me. I like the pulp in my juice and find it easy to remove the seeds with a spoon. But because of that, it won't be for everyone.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Big and bulky

The best reamer I've ever used

This reamer squeezes a lot more juice out of lemons and limes than a plastic reamer. It has a pointed tip for planting the reamer and then squeezing a lemon or lime while the reamer is spinning makes a lot of juice. Use a plastic dish brush to clean and air dry. Tips: Roll a lemon or lime on the table and apply pressure to release the juice from the fruit before slicing.

Works - more than I can say about the yellow in the bin

I bought one of those yellows that all people use on TV shows. Handle broke off on first use. Never seen it on TV. I've decided to just go. It worked great. I was able to hold a citrus half in my hand and use a wooden reamer to focus on areas that looked like they still had juice in them. Yes, you have to choose your seeds, but ok, for the price I have a lot of seeds to choose from. seed.

Excellent kitchen and dining room reamer

This reamer works great. I used to use one of those types, where you mash a lemon or lime over a connected cup. It was always kind of awkward, there was a mess, and then you had to wash two things. I use this to unwrap fruit while holding it in my hand over a glass or pitcher. Works very well. And I wash the pulp or the juice straight into the glass. Cleans by rinsing under running water. And can be stored in my dish drawer instead of taking up shelf space.

Where has it been all my life?

Why have I used a different juicer over the years? I've had manual ones where you put the fruit in the two halves and then pull the top handle down and squeeze out the juice (the yellow ones you see in every kitchen store). I thought this was my only option until I saw someone using this. I bought one straight away and can't believe the difference! It's SO easy to use and squeezes WAY more juice out of my lemons and limes than the other. It's also small and light. I highly recommend!

Best in class fruit and veg tool

I have a lemon tree and squeeze several hundred lemons a year between September and January. This is the best way to juice lemons (and limes) the size of a small orange. In this case, it's easier to use the Domed Bowl type. Still, I like to fold the "empty" shells flat and quickly squeeze them out for an extra tablespoon. I've tried other brands and they all broke quickly under heavy compression. This tool can be used at your own discretion. I freeze the juice in plastic ice trays with a small…

Good design/shape but the wood is not finished

Bought a citrus wood reamer. In terms of design, I really like the shape. The pointed end helps get a good grip, and the traditional expander shape is probably the most effective for getting the most juice out. The size is suitable for both lemons and limes, but will be too small for oranges. (which suits me). The biggest problem, however, is that the wood is not treated. Especially at the end, small burrs need to be ground off, which requires some kind of coating (e.g. wax or walnut oil). If…
