Used as a colander for pasta and accessories

I actually bought this to use as more of a colander for my pans and it works well for me to set on the pan and flip pasta strain, they are very durable and easy to store.

My Arm Hurts Matches Noodles and Accessories

I've had a hard time with this product. It took a long time to push the dough through the slots and when I was done my hand was just killing me. PLUS, the vapor burned my arm and I had to keep starting and stopping.

Highly recommended.

I make a lot of dumplings/spatulas for the different dishes I cook. This makes it 100x easier and a lot less time consuming than the old spoon method I used before. We strongly recommend greasing both the mold and the spatula with vegetable oil before use. Makes working with the dough easier and cleaning up is a breeze.

Spaetzel-icious - Pasta & Pizza Tools

Sturdy spaetzle pan, perfect for one of my pans. My German wife learned how to cook Italian, so I thought it would be appropriate for this Italian boy to learn how to cook spaetzle and schnitzel. The fair is fair. The frying pan is easy to use, it's easy to cook delicious noodles. At first I found the included scraper to be too thin, but I didn't make the dough thin enough. Following the directions in the recipe, thin the batter until sticky but not too thick. The second time everything worked…

Spaetzle made easy!

This is a well made product that is strong enough to withstand the pressure needed to press spaetzle dough. It is not a single-purpose tool like other spaetzle makers, but can also be used as a strainer. It's a lot easier to use than my previous method of straining the batter, and I'll be adding spaetzle to my soups and stews a lot more often from now on. It is laid on the 6-quart. I use the Dutch Oven most often for soups, but the design also suits other pot sizes.

Perfect design and great value

The easiest way to make good spaetzle - large and easy to use, fits securely in my favorite 9.5" ID skillet. I like to take the dough from all angles and push it through big enough holes. I've read reviews that it's not possible to work on a simmering pot, this really isn't a problem if you bring the water to a boil and then reduce it the heat while you work with the dough. clean with no hidden edges Also suitable as a strainer lid The included scraper works but is too flexible for my liking, I

Will not fit Spaetzle

This is a well built unit, very durable. Is my complaint unique? I tried to make spaetzle out of it. When I placed the spaetzle on a kettle of boiling water (perfect by the way!), the steam escaping from the little holes burned my hand. With other spaetzle makers, steam can escape at the edges, this created and pressed it out of the holes. As the steam built up, he cooked the spaetzle before I could push them through and gave me a large wad of partially cooked dough on top that couldn't get…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good product in kitchen and dining room

This item is very durable and I love how well it fits in my existing pan. I've done this with several tests (some with more eggs or milk instead of water). I got really lucky with the first one, the second time was too hard and the third worked well. So if you don't succeed at first, try again! I recommend using oven mitts as the steam will rush through the holes, the lid gets hot and it takes a while to figure out how to use it. Not too long and it will be a lot easier next time. The dough…
