Quieter air ratchet compared to most

I chose this air ratchet because it was said to be quieter running and easy on the ears. The handle is not as easy to squeeze with one or two fingers as you have to in tight areas, but I will get over it because does not sound as loud. it also has plenty of torque for a 1/4" air ratchet.

Pros
  • Excellent tool. It's now my favorite air ratchet. Better than more expensive name brands.
Cons
  • The 1/4-inch drive size may limit the range of applications this ratchet can be used for

supper quiet best in my review

it is nice quiet operation good power, great price/ like the rubber coating. going too buy the 3/8 ratchet next That's my review!

Pros
  • Worked great thanks
Cons
  • The ratchet's 1/4-inch drive may not provide enough power for heavy-duty applications

F*** tool trucks: my feedback

Best bang for your buck forget matco, Cornwell, or snap on if your having to rebuild it every other month go to this you won’t regret it

Pros
  • Great value and very powerful. Would grade close to snapon but much quieter.
Cons
  • Not too much torque

Starting to develop issues after 3 months

I use this almost everyday for the last 3 months and lately I have noticed the ratchet head stalls and doesn't turn intermittently under high torque. The motor still will but it no longer ratchets. My 3/8 aircat has yet to do this. Very quiet and strong for its size.

Pros
  • Good Tool Worked Great.
Cons
  • The ratchet may not have the same level of durability or reliability as metal counterparts

Great tools I have several

Great tools I have several .till one breaks I have been a tech for over 30 years and when I sent my tool in for repair it has been over 8 weeks seems it is still sitting there waiting to be shipped back with several e mails just going un answered from one dept. Like I said great tools .but if breaks throw .it away and move on not worth the shipping cost !

Pros
  • Powerful little 1/4 inch air ratchet. Cannot beat air cat quality.
Cons
  • The ratchet may not be suitable for applications that require precise torque settings

I like the trigger function much less chance of false air .

This is a grt tool ! I like the trigger function much less chance of false air starts by accidentally bumming the old lever style airwrenches. AND I really like the in handle muffler makes tool much more quiet.

Pros
  • Very good tool.
Cons
  • The ratchet may be challenging to use in awkward positions or angles due to its design

Buy it! Great tools for a fraction of the price.

I work on aircrafts and I honestly can say these aircat tools are a gem. Lots of power, decent speed and very quiet. Out performed many snap on, ingersoll rand, harbor cheapo tools and many more. A little bulkier but for the performance, you won't complain.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • The ratchet may not be able to reach tight or hard-to-reach areas due to its size

Great air ratchet. Use it everyday!

I have been using this for about a month, 5 days a week everyday. It has been a great tool. My snap-on one is being repaired and this one has easily fit right in. Zero problems with it so far. I do oil it everyday. It has worked as well as the snapon that lasted 2 years. Time will tell. I will keep using this one until it fails and report back.

Pros
  • It had Low price but I got heavy duty tool.I like it.
Cons
  • The ratchet's composite material may make it prone to damage from exposure to sunlight or heat

Very quiet compaired to most 1/4 " air ratchets

It's a great value for the money, and a work horse. I would recommend, I purchased 2 of them for my shop. The ratchet may not be suitable for applications that require precision or delicate handling!

Pros
  • Nice air ratchet well worth the money.
Cons
  • The ratchet may not be suitable for applications that require precision or delicate handling

Well designed air ratchet!

This is the ratchet that should be sold on all the tool trucks instead of their over priced examples. Very quiet, appropriate torque for its size, with a nice low profile trigger. I think the mini refers to the ratchet head size; great for tight places, but you wouldn't want to have to really put a lot of torque on it. I'm very happy with this air ratchet.

Pros
  • item as advertised
Cons
  • The ratchet may be challenging to repair or maintain due to its composite construction

I would recommend them to anybody

I am a professional mechanic for 17 years now. I go through a lot of tools, especially air tools. Aircat products are really squared away. They are light, quiet, and affordable. I would recommend them to anybody.

Pros
  • Very strong works great quiet
Cons
  • The ratchet's composite material may not be durable and can easily crack or break

Great Little Mini-AirRatchet

Love this AirCat 1/4" drive air ratchet. Its small, fits into tight spaces and offers all the power needed for those smaller nuts and bolts in any automotive application. I attached a 24" lead hose to it with a built in swivel to keep it short. I bought this to do work on a F250 Diesel and needed a small ratchet to save time and knuckles. Its not loud at all, offers plenty of power and spins at a good rate, not too slow or fast. Extensions stay on tight, the trigger is well positioned…

Pros
  • Quite
Cons
  • The ratchet's trigger may be too sensitive, causing accidental disengagement

Awesome little ratchet

I'm an aircraft mechanic and I wanted a QUIET ratchet that wasn't too big and had decent power. I work in confined spaces a lot and air ratchets can get super loud, especially when they're near your ears. This one is great, I don't even need ear plugs with it. It has enough power for what I need and it's a decent size. I used it for about 4 months without problems until it got stolen(someone really liked it?). I would get one again but now I work for a company that provides all the tools.

Pros
  • ‎Imperial
Cons
  • The ratchet's composite material may not be environmentally friendly or easily recyclable

Ok but not lasting.

I work for an airline as an engine shop mechanic so I use this air ratchet in a harsher environment than normal (Lots of high running torques). I like the torque and it is more quiet than other ratchets. After about 6 months it was broken. I am sure this would be a good buy for someone using it for home. For the price its not bad.

Pros
  • Air Ratchet: Ergonomic handle for the user's ultimate comfort
Cons
  • The ratchet may have a shorter lifespan than metal counterparts, requiring more frequent replacement

Wouldn’t fit short sockets

I wanted to use this in tight places but it won’t fit short wide sockets. It only fits the skinny long sockets. To be honest I doubt 35ft lbs of torque would break many bolts loose anyway. Save your self and get one with way more power and a bigger size so it fits all sockets. Nice quality though.

Pros
  • Lots of power
Cons
  • The ratchet may not be able to work well with rusted or corroded bolts or nuts

Great small ratchet for areas where handle swing is limited

This ratchet does exactly what I needed -- get nuts & bolts on & off in those areas where handle swing makes use of a manual ratchet difficult to impossible. It does not have impact wrench torque, but that is not what I needed it for. It has plenty of torque for the nut & bolt spinning. I can break it loose or snug it with a manual ratchet. And I've already dropped it a couple of times on the concrete floor, and it still works fine. Yes -- I'd buy it again, and will give other Air Cat tools a…

Pros
  • best ratchet for the buck. it has just as much power as my mac and it is in whisper mode GM. tech 14 yr.
Cons
  • The ratchet may require more maintenance than metal counterparts due to its composite construction

I like this ratchet

I like this ratchet, no noise, cannot work without it now, if there is similar that has less torque, I ll buy too. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Work
Cons
  • The AIRCAT 800 ratchet is quite expensive compared to other counterparts in the market

Works well so far. best in my review

I've used it on a couple of jobs, and it works great! Its not too fast, so it is very controllable. It fits in tight hard to reach areas well. I use it for just about everything from 15mm on down, and follow up with a torque wrench. It measures 8 1/4" long (10" with an air fitting installed), and 1 1/2" wide at the widest part of the body (2" wide at the hand switch).

Pros
  • Super quiet! Very compact as well. I'd say it has paid for itself already.
Cons
  • The ratchet's trigger may be too sensitive and require a significant amount of pressure to engage

Recommened from a 35 year professional technician

A great value for this air rachet. Been a professional Master Auto Technician for over 35 years, used Snap-on rachets for decades and took a chance with this rachet as it got good reviews. I was not disappointed, it works great, plenty of power and torque, comparable with tool truck brand tools at a 1/3 of the cost. I've been using AirCat for for a few years and love them.

Pros
  • Quite strong and compact
Cons
  • The ratchet's handle may not be ergonomically designed, leading to discomfort during prolonged use

Revainrating 5 out of 5

quite, comfortable and easy to use

This little quarter drive air ratchet was just what I needed. I work with a lot of smaller bolts and daily give my 1/4 sockets a work out. This air ratchet is a life saver, or a wrist saver I should say. It's not an impact gun, so if you have anything super tight, break it loose first , after that, the 380 rpm speed will certainly speed up whatever task your working on. This thing is quiet and comfortable to use and compared to Snap on or Mack its an easy buy with a great warranty,

Pros
  • plenty of power
Cons
  • The ratchet's grip may slip or twist during use, causing damage to the surrounding area or injuring the user
