Drill bit cracked upon arrival. The drill broke after 4 holes. The faucet was rubbish even after 4 holes. All bores and threads were machined from cast aluminum, not carbide at all. When the kit was new and working, it worked fine, just not for long, and removing a broken drill bit can be a pain.

Simple and easy to use. Heavy bets on replacing the entire skid plate ($130) after a so-called mechanic ripped off a bolt with a percussion gun to start the bolt and then overtightened the bolt that held the skid plate on my SUV just for an oil held change. . I will recommend and buy again. The only reason for 4 stars, very rarely give 5

I used this to repair an 8mm thread in an aluminum V8 engine block which I have done several times with 6mm threads on MC blocks. He worked as he should. I particularly liked the fit and workmanship of the instruments - that often leaves a lot to be desired in this price range. I also liked the packaging, the plastic case is of good quality. There will be other sizes from this supplier if/when I need them.

I used this product to repair broken threads on my Stihl chainsaw. One of the chain bar mounting bolts has stripped the threads in the aluminum threaded hole. It was very easy to fix. I drilled a larger hole, recut the hole and re-threaded it after applying thread lock. Works fine, like new. If I ever need this for another job, all I have to do is buy the right thread inserts because I have a set of taps and dies and a drill.
