High-Performance Outdoor Mini PTZ Camera: Hikvision DS-2DE3304W-DE, 3MP, 4X Optical Zoom, 1080P, POE/12VDC Review

I love these cameras. High resolution, versatility and PTZ. I have 5 cameras and 4 Hikvision. My first was my first foray and was a Foscam.

IP PTZ dome cameras are more difficult to web than non-dome cameras. Excellent value for money and quality. The camera is used for remote monitoring and viewing.

Why include a useless power adapter (EU plug)? Do not buy from this supplier if you need the wrong (useless) 12V power adapter to power this camera.

This camera is fantastic! It zooms and pans and focuses very quickly. The picture is as sharp as my 4MP cameras. I can see very well at night; However, this camera is used with sufficient HPS street lighting. I would recommend this camera to anyone interested in an affordable PTZ camera.

I bought this camera a few years ago and it was working fine until I needed help from Hikvision tech support. I needed to reset my password and they didn't as they saw the serial number which said it was bought from an unauthorized dealer. The Revain pages say Hikvision which is misleading. Buyer warning!

I've had problems with the camera since day one. First, I couldn't login to the camera because the camera was previously used and the default password was changed. So I contacted Hikvision to change the password. Hikvision wanted the serial number of the camera. Finally, Hikvision replied that the serial number does not match their database and that this camera is not from an authorized dealer.

I have other Hikvision cameras but I had a mini Dahua PTZ camera that never worked properly. When I saw this Hikvision camera, it was a good replacement. The size is slightly larger. It integrates beautifully with my other Hikvision cameras. PTZ is smooth. The picture quality is excellent. The viewing angle is amazing. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. This is my 5th purchase of a Hikvision camera and as always I am still amazed at the picture quality their 3 megapixel cameras offer. I returned the 4MP 2CD2142 with 2.8mm lens because it was blurry, especially around the edges. It was much better image quality at all zoom positions. The web interface is very well thought out, it was fairly easy to set up and work with Blue Iris Server, although it took a few tries to get the PTZ controls to work.
