I've had a Raspberry Pi remote controlled rover for a while. I found this camera on Revain. Now I can drive the rover in dark places and still see where it's going.

The assembly is a bit strange because there are no instructions. I can't get the right color, it's always a pink tint no matter what.

Great for taking pictures in the dark but the color profile built into the Pi software doesn't work very well, makes the picture pink, most software adjustments are not intended to do a really good job, just an acceptable job. works well in full spectrum, in bright light, but I suspect IR is interfering with color profile all the time. The housing and IR bulbs were a little tricky to assemble without something to hold them together as I kept falling out of the screws when assembling by hand and had yet to start everything once. Night vision quality is okay, but viewing distance is somewhat limited compared to the improvement I'd expect from Noir IR, for example.

Resolution and sharpness could be better. Night vision is normal. If you're looking for good detail and image sharpness, look elsewhere.

This is the best I can find on a manual focus camera. Run under the Pi to monitor the status of the 3D printer. maybe better for a remote install. I recommend this one if you want to monitor devices, not room monitoring. BTW, the IR lights are great, but the IR LEDs are highly visible at night, so it might not be suitable for hack footage.
