Manual focus is great.
This is the best I can find on a manual focus camera. Run under the Pi to monitor the status of the 3D printer. maybe better for a remote install. I recommend this one if you want to monitor devices, not room monitoring. BTW, the IR lights are great, but the IR LEDs are highly visible at night, so it might not be suitable for hack footage.
