Terribly rusty, nothing for boats.

These are NOT stainless steel fasteners. There may be a screw, but the latches themselves cannot be used on boats or in a marine environment. All of my newly installed transoms rusted horribly within 2 weeks of installation and had to be removed as the rust was so bad it was staining running down the side of the boat. All have been removed and replaced. Maybe they're good for something indoors that doesn't get wet.

All latches and screws are stainless steel

Latch and self-tapping screw are stainless steel. Make sure you drill the correct pilot hole for each application: for example, a 3/8" black sheet metal screw requires a 3/8" pilot hole when driving into steel. Use the smaller bit when driving in wood or fiberglass. I learned the hard way and took off a few bolts before finding that the 3/8" bit worked well for steel. Cool at first, quickly deteriorated

Two months they stood perfectly. I replaced all the latches the entire length of the 23 foot boat. They saw salt water twice and every time I wash the boat and use the salt. They look like crap and are rusted now. Very dissatisfied, especially since I used 5200 for threads. I'm sure half of them will break when I try to remove them. VERY VERY unsatisfied.
