Description of πŸ”© The Hillman Group 180210 1/4-20 Coupling Nut - Pack of 50

Threaded fasteners for joining two male threads, most commonly threaded rod. Used to make up long rod assemblies from shorter lengths of rods. Similar to hex nuts with extreme height measurements giving them length. For industrial applications. Use with fasteners of the same threading and finish.

Good price! Best Fasteners

I use them to lengthen bolts for work on my bench grinder and workbench. These nuts are $1 EACH or more at local big box stores.

Pros
  • Similar to hex nuts with very large dimensions giving them length
Cons
  • Working speed

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT in Fasteners

According to the description they are 1 inch long. They are actually 3/4 inch long. False advertising. I don't know who the Hillman group is, but apparently they don't know how to use a tape measure.

Pros
  • Threaded fasteners for connecting two male threads, most commonly a threaded rod
Cons
  • Frequency

Exactly what I needed.

Just what I needed. In the store they are about $3 for 2. I bought them new for about 8 for 50 which was almost half the regular price. But that's why I took a star, it actually only had 46. I don't really need it, but it's only 15, so I'm keeping it. And those inside are in great condition, it's just that the box was in rough condition and four were missing. So I'd probably list one below as new.

Pros
  • For assembling long sticks from shorter sticks
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
