Errors within 5 months

As another reviewer mentioned my car was getting P2135 codes intermittently. I took the car to a dealership and was told the throttle body was to blame. Revain reimburses me for everything except about $25. I assume this is the case in order to send the item to me initially. Return shipping costs about the same. So now I'm going to shell out about $50 for a part that didn't last long.

Expected to fit the injection system

Fits my 2005 Chevy Avalanche as expected. It was the first time he switched after 370,000 miles. Died after check engine light came on with a couple of gas codes. Took it to my mechanic who wanted to take $750. I watched youtube videos, bought this part and it took me 25 minutes to switch. The box contained instructions for retraining, as well as a seal. happy customer Time will tell but on a test setup it worked well and ran perfectly in the park in my driveway for over 10 minutes.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Throttle body failed after 3 months

Throttle body was ok for a while then it started coding and running the truck in emergency mode. I told the mechanic I had just replaced the throttle body so he didn't check it when trying to diagnose it until I towed it a second time. Changed to AC Delco and everything is fine again, but that's at the expense of that junk and a trip to the mechanic and tow truck. Don't waste your money, buy a better brand and save money in the long run (if you consider three months in the long run).

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Weight

No coolant spikes? Part number different?

Ordered ETB0019. When it arrived the label said ETB0022 which was originally for me but everything in terms of size and shape was the same as the OEM EXCEPT one. This throttle body did not have coolant notches pressed into the bottom of the body. Since I don't live in a very cold climate (-10F), I was able to bypass the throttle body and route the coolant line directly to the head. If I lived further north, that would be a big problem. I replaced it and it seems to be working as intended.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

failed in the fuel system in 7 months

Purchased to replace a defective original throttle body on a 2003 Escalade. We solved our P1516 testing machine code and worked great for 6 months. We then started getting intermittent P2135 codes, which indicate problems with something in the throttle position sensor circuit. I assumed it was a wiring issue since the unit was brand new and replacing the accelerator pedal sensor didn't fix the problem. Appreciate again, this barely left our family with a car halfway home on a 500 mile trip. I…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
