I bought this for my 2008 Avalanche when it was idling rough and low (500-400) rpm at the lights. I installed this on a 2007 Silverado 4.8L due to throttle position codes. In the end it worked great and solved my problem. Keep in mind that this part requires a throttle relearn procedure, otherwise you may find the idle speed is high or erratic. There is a method to perform an idle relearn without scanning.
