Warranty failed after 3 tries

How: 1. The original hub worked fine for 3 months. 2. The relevant warranty department received the replacement hub within a week. Dislikes: 1. The original USB-C hub intermittently disconnects after 3 months. 2. The replacement hub came with a faulty USB connector. It does not work! 3. Requires 3 pictures and 2 separate videos to be uploaded to "prove" the warranty department with errors on both devices. 4. After the photos and videos were uploaded, the warranty department emailed me asking me

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some problems

Excellent all in one hub

First of all what I don't like about this product is that the USB-C cable that plugs into your device is not detachable. This makes a huge difference for me because I'm a tech-heavy user and I travel a lot, and if the cable frays on this hub I'll have to try requesting a brand new device instead of just getting a different USB cable. Other than that, everything else about this center is pretty great. I love the fact that it's primarily aluminum which helps dissipate heat under heavy use. The…

USB-C hub works as listed

I plugged it in and it worked. So far it's worked with everything I've plugged in via standard USB ports and a USB-C pass-through port. I haven't used HDMI, LAN, or card slots.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

No longer working: computers and accessories

I wanted this product because I recently bought a MacBook Pro and it only has two USB-C ports. Anyway, I wanted to connect cdmi port, mouse and other things. However, after about a month of use or maybe less, it stopped working. The light comes on as if it's working, but my mouse, keyboard, and HDMI cable aren't doing anything. I think it's probably short, but now I wasted $34 and need to buy another one (definitely a different brand).

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Nothing here

The standard Apple charger for my MacBook Pro charges it at 87W. It was particularly difficult to find USB-C Ethernet adapters that also allowed pass-through and listed their pass-through performance specifications. This was one of them, explicitly listed as 87 watts. Unfortunately, it runs with 81 watts (screenshot attached). It's a small difference, but I still think it's wrong. If I'm wrong correct me and I'll revise my review and rating. UPDATE: After upgrading my system to macOS Big Sur…

It works as it should

I have an HP Specter x360 2017 Edition. This laptop has a USB-A port, two USB-C ports (one of them Thunderbolt), an HDMI port and a full-size SD card slot. I bought this USB hub mainly for the extra USB-A ports (to help with gaming) and the ethernet port. But I thought what could I lose with the extra SD card slot and HDMI port? What I like. It says it supports 87W charging via the built-in USB-C port. I tested it (see Figure 3) and it works. But I didn't check the voltage to make sure it was…

Great expander

I have been using this product for three months now. It worked great with my Microsoft Surface Go. It works so well that when I lost it I replaced it immediately. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who needs multiple ports on a smaller tablet with a USB-C port.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
