IMPORTANT LEARNING: Drill pilot holes just under 1/4" before using router bits (same size or slightly smaller than twist drill shank). I used 1/8" pilot holes and one bit broke as soon as it hit the metal. I drilled a larger pilot hole and the broken bit still centered the router for a good hole. Using 18 gauge mild steel and a 2 -inch slot, there was no problem like the others when drilling large pilot holes.

A complete hole saw set for the price of a hole saw anywhere else. I used four of these to cut holes in a sheet of aluminum pressed against a piece of wood. They made holes that required very little additional cleaning. The first hole "walked" on me a bit, but lighter pressure cured that problem on subsequent holes. If you are looking for inch sizes, skip this set. How do you say; I have used some on fiberglass, wood and plastic and they have worked very well. However, I always drilled a small pilot hole to help center the drill. I have not used any of the bits on steel or iron. The teeth are aggressive and I think this is best done on a drill at low speed with plenty of cutting fluid. The price is very attractive and each cutter comes in its own small plastic case.
