Good quality, must be in unlocked position to replace right hand door handle

As with many other projects, you face obstacles. If you have a left door then everything is fine, but for a right door you will need to swap handles. My Yale grips are easy to swap out. This Honeywell must be in the unlocked position on the key side to remove the handle. You will also need to swap out the lock for a different handle. In general, the operation of the pen is not as smooth as others, but the overall rating is 5 stars. Given the savings, I would have no hesitation in choosing…

Great product for door handles

Contrary to other reviews, I fitted it in 30 minutes. I spent 10 of those minutes going down to the basement to get my drill and 1 inch drill bit. The Kwikset lock in the door had a deadbolt with a required 7/8 hole and I had to widen the hole a bit. After that everything went great. All the necessary parts were there, including a special tool to fold the handles down if you need it (I don't have it). This is a big improvement for people with mild grip arthritis who need a little easier…

Stylish polished brass shaft lever

I ordered 4 locking handles together. After installing the first one, which took a long time, the other 3 were a breeze. I had to enlarge the hole to fit the latch in the door. You will need to drill a larger hole for the latch to fit. All of my doors had a standard 3/4" bolt hole. one small fly, the other 3 worked fine. All three doors were left handed, and only one was right handed. I could NOT get the small key they supply to flipping the handles on the lock of a right hand door so one of my

30% failure rate. still saves $$$

Advantages: The price is amazing compared to branded devices. They look and feel great. Cons: We only bought 11 pieces. 3 retired within two years (one in a high usage area, two in very low usage areas) and bought more to keep the appearance. This is a potential money saver and a dramatic price difference compared to established brands. An error occurred due to the failure of internal moving parts. The other two were manufacturing defects. If the lever that keeps the door latches closed goes in

Good price, nice view but there are problems. For example:

Something I like but something I don't like. When installed it barely seemed to fit the existing holes and did not fit well, requiring adjustment and little machining. Looks like the measurements are a little different. Then, five months later, I couldn't open the door without struggling and desperately trying to get inside! wife didn't like it. Disassembled and reinstalled. Seems cheaply made, hence the low price. You would think that the Honeywell we all know and love wouldn't be a cheap…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
