This lock was very easy to install

I bought a deadbolt lock for our garage door. There was a latch when we checked in, but we didn't get the key. This look was very easy to install, taking maybe five minutes and all you really need is a screwdriver. It comes with two buttons and the buttons are slightly larger than the average button. They are rectangular at the top. Overall, this is a good, good deadbolt lock that's easy to install. The kit includes everything you need to install the door.

Cheap quality good for screws

Usually when Honeywell offers a low price for a product, the product is at least well made. Not so with this castle. Qualitatively probably the cheapest bar available. You can literally buy any other lock on the market and I'm sure it beats this one. I also flush fitted everything and the cheap looking key took about a minute to fit when trying to insert it. All in all it was a bad buy and I will replace it with a higher quality product.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy to assemble but can be crooked

I liked the bronze color, it goes well with my door and it doesn't look cheap. It was a good price for a screw. I followed all the instructions and installed a lot of latches before, but it still squeaked a bit. Appearance still works well, does not stick and looks good. It comes with two keys which are large square keys. I like that they are different from the "standard" keys so I can easily tell them apart. I would say it's still good value for money. So if you are on a budget I stillโ€ฆ

Lightweight lock for cheap security.

That's enough for an inexpensive lock exchange. The only limitation is the size of the door opening from the lock being replaced. The hole in my lock was slightly larger, big enough to leave a thin paper gap that could be a security hole. Please check the door hole diameter and the lock dimensions in advance. Nevertheless, the lock does its job perfectly. The mechanism opens and closes smoothly for me without lubrication. I wish it was a stairwell door knob set with the same key instead ofโ€ฆ

To keep honest people honest

Know what you get. These are residential grade latches using one of the most common keying methods in the US (Kwikset KW1). Then again, this is also a bonus. I was also given a key changing kit for Kwikset locks (the regular brand for around $40) and was able to quickly pick six of those locks in a very short amount of time. Now I have a key that opens all the outside locks in my house and I didn't pay the $45 for EACH that the local locksmith was trying to charge me. 10 minutes on youtubeโ€ฆ

Don't buy from Door Hardware & Locks

Looking for the worst Revain mortise lock?. Look no further friend because that's it. I was impressed with the price of this lock at less than $10. When I installed this in my door frame it literally fell apart. I've never seen such bad quality. This house has mortise locks from the Sling, Quickset and Defiant. All are well suited to their current positions. I played when I decided on this particular brand and type and let me tell you that I lost beyond any reasonable doubt. There is no chanceโ€ฆ

Poor quality and design

Technically I should have no problem using this lock as all I had to do was replace the lock that worked on the door with this one. Theoretically, everything is the same between these two (old and new) in terms of dimensions, but the old one is a different brand and I had to change the lock and get a new key for security reasons, so I installed it for so long as it is very good fits, but during testing I noticed many flaws due to the poor quality of materials and design. The main bolt is veryโ€ฆ
