He does what he has to do.

I used this on a hot water boiler. The boiler is over 43 years old. Thermocouple changed every 7 years. I think it's quite normal to be on fire all the time.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some cons

The other day there was no heating, so I went to the firebox and finally found that the pilot lamp had gone out. I went through the reset process several times and the light went out IMMEDIATELY after releasing the reset button. I checked the internet and found out pretty quickly that this is probably the case. I found a 24" at Lowe's that worked in a pinch but really wasn't long enough so I bought the 30" version. Ideal for Weil-McClain gas boilers. Once I figured out what was going on in the…

Exactly what I needed, easy to install

My stove pilot failed. It lights up while I'm holding the button, but goes off when I release the button. This part was cheap enough to order and try, and installation is pretty easy. Just screw on both ends and you're done! My pilot fired immediately and stayed ablaze. EASY fix and saved me about $200 from not having to call an HVAC technician to service it. πŸ‘If your pilot doesn't burn after you release the pilot's ignition button, try this, it could save you a lot of $$$ 😎

  • Free for educational purposes

Honeywell 30 foot thermocouple

My application is a 7 year old Smith gas boiler. This thermocouple is perfect. I've used longer, but 30 inches is enough and not too long. Every year, until October, before the onset of winter, I make a simple adjustment to my boiler. Brand new thermocouple, cleaned the outside of the boiler and air ducts, and after firing it for the first time in a year, I bled the air out of my system within the first four hours. That worked great for me. And thanks to Revain, these thermocouples are…
