I received this item and was delighted! I tried to install it and the screws that came with it just ripped off my jeep door. It never "buttoned up" so the table wouldn't stay on the jeep's gate. I contacted Hook Road to send parts that actually fit and nothing. After 3 attempts and 6 holes in the gate of the jeep I gave up.

Good boot table for the money. My kid threw away the template so I had to drill holes while holding the frame. Then I looked at the bottom right hole to match the top right hole, which was a bad idea. This is a shift for a reason. So my table is held by three of the four screws. It's still holding up fine. Doesn't rattle when driving and the like. I like it. Would buy again.

I don't like this table. The template is garbage and the installation hardware cannot be used properly. The Jeep tailgate has different metal thickness in different places, so the nuts will not work properly. You must use devices other than those provided. Also, the clasps are terrible. Now I need to use another method to secure the table when folded. Save money and buy one of the other crappy suitcase tables. That sucks!

I bought this for my Jeep Wrangler and I really like it. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before buying, it's my own fault. what was my fault. This shelf is VERY difficult to assemble. Hardware and instructions are cheap and easy to remove. You need to research Rivnuts and buy a Rivet Gun if you want to buy this. And it takes at least 5 hours. I've already invested too much so I won't go back, but I'd like to know in advance.

I just finished the installation. It took maybe 20 minutes. Instead of using the included hardware, I chose to install with self-tapping screws. Holds up well and is very durable. I added a tool storage magnet at the top to hold utensils and we cut tools when camping. It just helps keep the table closed more securely, not that it just needs to be added there. Installation is not possible without a special tool, a socket wrench. Luckily I have it, so everything went very well. Without this tool, you won't enjoy installing this product. In fact, you will most likely either kill yourself or return the item. You can probably borrow a nut wrench from your local auto shop. So I bought this table to match my 2016 Jeep JKU Willy's Edition. First let me say that installation is pretty easy if you have the right tools. Just drill 4 holes. Great desk with poor hardware when locked and sometimes not even fully closed as seen in my photos, they also partially unlock when the back doors be closed, so if you close it and open it again. Your bars will be partially open. They won't detach and drop your desk, but they will partially open when you close the back door. The solution for me was to drill a 1/8" hole in the end of the locking tab and attach two 10" mini shoelaces to it. small problem if you ask me, mainly for the price, apart
