I was under the impression these were rechargeable portable stereo speakers. The right speaker is USB charging and portable, but it's mono. The left speaker requires power for sound and stereo. Not portable. As I expected, it won't work. But for near-quiet desktop speakers, I really like their sound.

This set requires a power cord for true stereo. Only one speaker is battery operated. Nevertheless, this speaker has a good sound. Not an outstanding sound, but good sound with lots of volume. I like speakers in wooden cases. It's nice to be able to place a portable speaker anywhere without a cable connection. That's what I love about these bookshelf speakers. They look great and have a low, minimalist profile. You also have the option of using the speakers individually. Duet "Together" is an interesting beast. It consists of two speakers that are almost, but not quite, identical and can work as separate mono speakers or as a stereo pair.
