This Great Lakes Edition, Version 4 boasts more than 380 lake maps in high definition and over 1,540 total lakes from MI, IN, and OH, with over 140 lakes added since the prior version. Easy-to-see shading highlights shallow-water areas within an adjustable range up to 30 feet, and depth contours and shorelines can be synchronized with the actual water levels of lakes, reservoirs, and rivers. LakeMaster digital maps can be used with Minn Kota i-Pilot Link (sold separately), allowing you to follow a selected depth contour line to deliver precise, automatic boat control. LakeMaster digital maps come on a Micro SD card (with included SD card adapter) that's compatible with all GPS-equipped HELIX, SOLIX, ONIX, and ION Series models and select 600-1100 Series models.

I love this chip! Best in Marine Electronics

I use this primarily in the Thunder Bay Michigan area and it is very accurate. I originally wanted to map the bottom of Thunder Bay with my Helix sonar, but then I came to my senses and spent a hundred dollars. I love this chip. Got it. I saved $100 on fuel in the first few weeks and it makes planning my trip that much easier.

I bought my first "Plus" version of Lakemaster maps. The Great Lakes version and I am very disappointed. Arial overlay is pretty much pointless, at least in our southern Indiana waters. I doubt I'll spend the extra money on the Plus version again. Perhaps on more developed lakes it is better to show houses and docks. But not with us. To. I don't know who chooses which lakes to map, but at least here in southern Indiana their choice doesn't make sense. There are two large reservoirs near us that

Not very accurate, difficult to charge

Was disappointed in the lack of instructions on how to upgrade the Helix 7 I was planning to use it on. I had 3 technical calls and a direct message with support. First I had to update my version from 1.64 to 2.30 on the micro SD card. Bought the 128mg kit from Costco, downloaded the update from the website and the unit wouldn't read (downloading that micro sd card is archaic). When they called tech support they said they only recognize 32mg cards that ran on staples and got a 32mg card that…

Accurate, reliable, compatible with Humminbird and Follow-the-Contour Minnkota

I like that it works reliably and has a familiar format. I have several Lake Master chips and prefer them to the few Navionics I have. Mainly due to the compatibility with my Minn-Kota's contour tracking feature, as well as the familiar user interface that I know and trust from other Lake Master products. One day I wish they were $10 instead of $125 and up. .

'App' is difficult to navigate, major lakes are missing

Before purchasing I overlooked that Saginaw Bay wasn't on the map. How can a Great Lakes map NOT include Saginaw Bay? Lake St. Clair is a high resolution lake, but there are no contour labels on the map. Other HD maps are fine, but some non-HD maps with lakes are almost useless. If you change a lake, you must exit the lake where the map is activated, return to the "Lake List" and find a new lake. There is no "Favorites" list to quickly switch lakes.
