Does Not Fade - Ceiling Fans and Accessories

Hello! I've installed this in two different ceiling fans and it won't dim the light. Otherwise does everything it should.

Golden ate the original remote control!

Love the fact I didn't have to reinstall the internal receiver...had the same remote and our golden retriever ate the remote! Bad Dog! I literally took it out of the box and it worked with my fan!

The dimming function does not work.

Installed today with a new Hunter fan. Works well, easy installation, clear instructions. The dimming function does not work at all. You have to hold down the light button. darken up or down. All I get is on or off. The instructions state that for CFL lamps there is a sensor that disables the dimming function. But I use dimmable LED bulbs so that should work. I have tried fan lamps as well as other dimmable lamps. NO DIM. By the way, it would be nice if the remote would light up when used like…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Vague instructions for lighting and ceiling fans

Bought this locally for a lot less to replace the one that came with my 8 year old turn of the century fan. The instructions seemed a bit vague and confusing. Hunter had a 20 minute chime that turned out to be 2 1/2 hours and by then I had figured it out. They say to connect from the ceiling to black (ungrounded) and white (grounded) but that is incorrect and confusing, it should say "LIVE" (hot) and NEUTRAL. In any case, AC circuits can be a bit confusing. Gathered everything and couldn't dim…
