However, I returned it after installing it and lived with it for about a day because the design of the wall switch with "remote control" is so idiotic that I just couldn't live with it. Overall, this fan is very nice and absolutely quiet, and I like it, with two big exceptions-1. Everything is so clean and looks perfect except for a very noticeable piece of ugly white plastic (shown in the photo). The fan is actually very beautiful. But. Beautiful appearance hides many flaws. Cons: As many reviewers have noted, the light has random flicker issues. And the remote control is also buggy - you can press the button several times and nothing happens. The fan is great and the installation was easy enough. I only ever switched sockets and light switches so I was nervous about the wiring but I just followed the instructions and everything was fine. The fan has been self-balanced without adjustment and moves a lot of air silently. Nice fan, quiet and moves more air than expected. Installation was more difficult than installing a fan without a "remote switch" but it didn't make much of a difference. We have an issue with the light flickering every few minutes, even at lower light levels. The lamp we installed is a Sylvania LED that consumes no more than 11 watts of power.
