Factory password cannot be changed. Either the instructions are wrong (pressing the star doesn't make the lights flash red/green) or the item I received is defective. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My daughter was frustrated and doesn't use it. Tip: Don't turn on the voice mode, it just says the password, please. Very annoying!

This Christmas we bought one for each of the children and they loved it. We used to have normal piggy banks, but they broke or lost their corks and they always stay empty. I bought this for my 5 year old to keep a quarter he earns from housework. He loves to! Whether he realizes it or not, it teaches him to remember the PIN code and why we keep our money in a safe.
