Excellent trip. Poor puncture resistance

I would give more stars but I've already deflated this tire with a tiny wire. In fact, I've had five flats between this tire she replaced and another on the bike. Otherwise they are comfortable, quiet and fast. Flats are a pain due to a tubeless board. It takes very strong hands to break a bead unless you have a bead in your shirt.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not bad

Holds up well to regular street practice

I've used a couple of Fusion 5 tires which I've found to hold up very well and I've managed to put in a few thousand practice miles on each. I live in the Northeast and the roads can get pretty rough from our long winters between freezing depths, potholes, sand and rock salt. My fusions all held up well. I will definitely buy more.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

defect in the tire after about 6 weeks of driving

1. the tire was incredibly difficult to put on the mavic UST.2 rim. it doesn't work without a compressor3. the tire ran very well for about 6 weeks4. I thought I had a flat tire but noticed a blister in my profile. No cuts or punctures. Just a defect. I have contacted Hutchinson via email. The tire is clearly under warranty. I will change my rating to 1 star if they honor the warranty.

Pros
  • great price
Cons
  • nothing here

Seems good so far but there are 28 of them NOT 28 even on wide rims

Lightweight and easy to seal tubeless tyres. I used an air compressor but I'm sure you could do it with a hand pump. The ride quality is good, but not as good as my Schwalbe Pro. The only complaint I have is that they don't measure up to 28 even on my wide rims. . I have these 700x28s and some Schwalbe Pros. The pros have 30.4 at 50psi on my tubeless road rims. These Fusion 5s measure 27.9 on the same rims.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Breakout in less than 100 miles.

Brand new, less than 100 miles and the bead ripped right on the edge leaving me stuck (didn't hold the spare tube I fitted on the road). I loved the feel while it lasted, but $0.50 a mile plus the long walk to the accessible road was an expensive and frustrating experience. Too bad. I had high hopes for the new brand, although the Mavic Yksiom, Michelin and Continental all do great. Will contact mfr for warranty but others seem to have had no luck. Update: After sending an email to mfr the null

The first impression is very good.

This tire is very easy to convert from tube to tubeless. First, make sure you have a wheel that is tubeless ready. Then secure it properly with tape to prevent air from escaping through the spoke holes. Finally add the tubeless valve stem. Everything is ready. After preparing the rim, the tires were mounted quickly and were so light that I pumped them up with a floor pump. On larger tubeless mountain bikes, I had to use an air compressor to force the tires into the rims. First ride impressions:

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
