My biggest problem is the check valve that came with the unit is leaking. I bought three of these units and all three check valves are leaking. I ended up buying another check valve, the pump itself is very quiet and seems to be doing its job. The project was only delayed a few days because the valve was poorly designed.

Nothing to say. no accident. this is a bad product. For me, the float wouldn't actuate the switch and actually make the pump work. Obviously I can't comment on how well she did as she never did and I think this review is as important as any other. TLDR: ordered two, both not working (manufacturing error)

I ordered two of these pumps and they arrived as two small boxes in a large box. One box was open and the pump parts were outside the manufacturer's box. I checked, nothing broken, but the top doesn't fit the bottom. Since it's not really needed (but would be nice), I went ahead and tweaked it. The reservoir holds about 2-3 pints, but it only empties half of that. Therefore, the tank is always half full with water during operation, even after the pump has pumped something out.
