No leaks, no plastic taste!

Used these a handful of times now and I am a big fan! The opening is big enough to add some ice, it also makes it easy to add powdered drink mix for your preferred supplement or sports drink. I have used several other brands and they all imparted some kind of plastic-y taste on my drink - BUT NOT THESE!I love that they have the regular caps as well as straws, I often carry one on a shorter run and use the regular cap; on a longer run I will carry 2 in my running vest and the straws keep me from

Pros
  • great, I use it on every long distance running
Cons
  • Within a week of use, there was a hole in the bottle. Don’t recommend

Half the caps work on my review.

I bought these specifically for the caps w/ straws, unfortunately these two caps leak when minimal pressure is applied to the vessel. Other than that the bottles are fantastic. I have many other SoftFlask models so it’s super disappointing these ones don’t work for the purpose for which I purchased.

Pros
  • Use this in my Osprey hydration vest front pocket. Fits perfectly. Easy to clean. Easy to use.
Cons
  • Not durable enough to withstand rough use

Top leaks and is difficult to put on

I got two of these based on a suggestion from a friend. Was excited to use them on upcoming 50k race and 40 mile runs. However, the straw (extended) top on one unit is extremely difficult to get on the bottle and doesn’t hold water without leaking badly (all over my chest while in my vest) and both tops are hard to get back on. Nothing like struggling to get the cap on a filled water bottle at an aid station during a race when you’re cold and tired and trying to keep moving. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • The Hydrapak UltraFlask is the ultimate choice for outdoor enthusiasts who want to stay hydrated on-the-go without carrying bulky water bottles
Cons
  • May be difficult to find replacement parts or accessories

Excellent Hydration Flask

I bought this flask for my Black Diamond Distance 8 running pack for my longer trail runs. The BD flasks are always sold out so I bought this instead and have no regrets. It fits perfectly in the upper vest pocket, there was no chemical taste, and I have had no issues with any leaking or sloshing. The extra lid with the long straw is a really nice added bonus as well. If you're in the market for a soft flask, I would recommend this product.

Pros
  • The soft flask construction means that this water bottle can be easily collapsed and folded when not in use, ensuring it takes up minimal space in your hydration pack
Cons
  • The collapsible design may make it difficult to carry in a backpack

Good product-one leaked immediately

One leaked immediately so I could only use one. I like the one that works-I use it regularly for running. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • The improved hand feel and grip make this water bottle incredibly easy to hold during your workout
Cons
  • May not be as easy to fill up as traditional hydration systems

Wanted to love these

They were a great price, but I guess you get what you pay for. No matter how I screwed and tightened the caps, they leaked everywhere. Not the end of the world, but not something I am looking for in a product. I bought these as a second set to have for easy refill/handoffs for my races. Will go back to the purchasing a second set of the default ones that came with my vest.

Pros
  • The collapsible design ensures that the UltraFlask takes up minimal space in your hydration pack, allowing you to store other essential items
Cons
  • Could be difficult to clean if not done regularly

Great bottle, but not perfect.

I can't get it to sit in my Nathan Hydration vest front pocket if it is full. If I only fill it half way it works and really for 5 miles or less that is all I need. I just use the bladder for my longer runs. Oh and the bite valve is easy to use.

Pros
  • The UltraFlask can be easily stored in almost any pocket or compartment, making it the ideal choice for backpackers, hikers, and runners
Cons
  • May not retain its shape after being collapsed for an extended period of time

Developed hole quickly

Worked as expected initially but got a hole in the flask itself after just a couple uses (very gentle - sitting in a hydration pack pocket).

Pros
  • The flexible design of the UltraFlask means that it can be easily stored in even the smallest pockets and compartments
Cons
  • May not fit in small backpacks

I really like it but.

I bought this flask to mix tailwind (a powdered supplement) during really long rides. It packs to nothing and I put it in my hydration pack. Doesn't leak and is very convenient. However, when I fill it with just regular water it tastes a bit plasticy even after a few washes. Overall, I still think it's a great product.

Pros
  • Looks good. Soft and easy to carry
Cons
  • Requires frequent cleaning

So packable when not in use!

I've used these as water containers, and as lotion storage options for travel. As the liquids are used up, the item can be squished into small spaces. No leakage noticed, if the tops are screwed on firmly. The bite valve doesn't leak either.

Pros
  • The Quick-release valve allows for easy filling and cleaning of this water bottle
Cons
  • Not suitable for hiking in rugged terrains

Almost perfect on my review.

These are great and work flawlessly. I just wish I could get them in 1 liter size. Easy to fill, easy to drink from. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • The UltraFlask features a high-flow bite valve, which allows you to effortlessly control your hydration levels during your workout
Cons
  • The water may spill out of the bottle while drinking

Idea is great but it leaks so I can’t use it

Idea is great because it fits perfectly in my pack but it leaks out all the water if it gets flipped upside down. A mess if I decide to take off my pack.Waste of money

Pros
  • The high-flow bite valve can be easily controlled, allowing you to fine-tune your hydration levels during your workout
Cons
  • May require frequent replacement due to wear and tear

EXCELLENT water holder - well made

Got this for my Son-in-law who does a LOT of mountain climbing. He loved it. Said it worked perfectly and fit right in with the rest of his long hike equipment.

Pros
  • BEYOND LIFETIME WARRANTY: If you experience any issue, we’ll repair or replace the item for free. Whatever it takes to keep your adventure going.
Cons
  • The mouth of the bottle may not be wide enough for easy filling.

Like the long sippy straw

Planning on using this for skiing. It's nice not to have to take your gloves off to get to a water bottle, or worry about dropping the lid on the lift. Fits in my front pocket, then just grab the straw and sip!

Pros
  • The mess-free bite valve means that you can drink from the UltraFlask with minimal risk of spills or leaks
Cons
  • Doesn't have a convenient way to carry in hand

It's OK, not great

I ordered this as extra bottles for my existing vest. It was recommended as a good fit. It's a really tight fit but it does work, just not as well as I expected.

Pros
  • Made from super-durable materials, the UltraFlask can withstand the rigors of even the toughest outdoor adventures
Cons
  • Difficult to clean the inside of the bottle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great flask in my review

I've tried a variety of flask and these ones are by far the best. For me is important that they are easy to open and close with gloves and that there is no leakage.

Pros
  • The BPA-free construction ensures that your hydration remains free from any harmful chemicals or toxins
Cons
  • Could be easily damaged if not stored properly

Works great with a running vest!

These are great flasks. The product is very durable and light weight. The bite valves work great and do not leak. I use them in the front pockets of an osprey dyna 6 vest, which is very comfortable. You can roll up the bottom of the flask to make it shorter as well. To dry just turn upside down, it stands up and drains out any remaining water.

Pros
  • The soft flask construction means that this water bottle can be stored in even the smallest pockets and compartments
Cons
  • May not be comfortable to carry for long distances

Perfect for trail run fuel!

Edit: My bottle did wind up taking on an aftertaste from putting Nuun tablets in it, but not a deal breaker. This product has far surpassed all my expectations! I don’t mind the plastic taste of reservoirs too much, but I am pleased to say this one does not have any sort of weird aftertaste. It doesn’t leak, it is easy to clean, and the straw lid is amazing for not having to take the bottle out of my pack! I have the Camelbak Ultra Pro vest and the 17oz bottle fits great in the larger front…

Pros
  • This water bottle is flexible enough to fit into almost any hydration pack or running belt
Cons
  • The collapsible design may make it difficult to drink from

Top quality flasks best in my review

These are amazing replacement soft flasks for my trail run vest. SUPER high quality. Wide mouth and totally leak free so far.

Pros
  • I am using the 500 ml with my Nathan vest and they are great!
Cons
  • The straw does not go down far enough to really work, not like my UD bottles

Great flasks.but beware of too easy to open tops!

Love these flasks but wanted to just warn people that the tops come open VERY easily! I used them at my last Ultra trail race and twice I ended up with liquid all over me because the tops had come open as I put them into my hydration vest pocket. Otherwise, love them and would recommend them. Just be careful when putting them into your vest pockets.

Pros
  • Like the 2 different tops
Cons
  • Limited storage capacity
