Description of HYS TCJ N1 Bracket Fender Antenna

The mount is a "trunk lid" mount with 13'/about 4m RG-58U cable. This requires a small (typically 3/8" to 3/4" ) hole be drilled through the surface hosting the mount, and is the best choice for an extremely rugged installation. L-Bracket Hole Stainless Steel 3/4" NMO Hole Mount, L Bracket for HYS TCJ-N1 Coax NMO Mount Cable Mobile Antennas Car Truck Hood install. Stainless Steel L-bracket for Trunk Groove Or Side Mounting. Recommended HYS NMO Antenna: NMO Antenna TC-HC152V (136-174Mhz,B077HRNLHZ), TC-HC152U (400-470Mhz, B077HXNJ1F ) or HYS SDN1(144/430Mhz, B07P71M8M5), easy install and match perfectly. Prefect for mobile FM transceiver NMO antennas. NMO to PL259 working for so239/uhf female Motorola Yaesu/Vertex Kenwood HYT Icom radio, the clip need a NMO HF/UHF/VHF/CB Antenna. This is a high quality, low profile base mount that does the job very well. 13 feet NMO cable connected easily with the antenna and there is plenty of cable to reach an antenna mounted practically anywhere on your vehicle/car.

Poor quality antenna. I'm glad I kept the Motorola original.

The connector at the end of the radio is not two piece to wrap around the radio. You'll either have to turn on the radio or deal with twisting the long cable. You can't plug in a cable and thread it through. Bad design. The end of the antenna fell apart on the first ride, even after tape was applied to hold the black plastic cover in place. Very thin metal mounting bracket. I can't give him zero stars. I missed my return window because it was in my jeep so I forgot about it until I got ready…

Pros
  • Trunk Lid Bracket with RG-58U Cable 13'/Approx. 4 m. This requires drilling a small hole (typically 3/8 to 3/4 inch) in the surface where the mount will be placed and is the best choice for an extremely rigid installation.
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Expensive, durable construction.

Use this on my GMC Safari for a 50-54MHz NMO 1/4 Wave pin (53" tall). He's well built. smaller than usual, making installation much easier than traditional ones that require a 3/4 inch hole. Still, the design is decent, including a very nice mount that integrates into a solid mount. I will be ordering more for my spares box. Make sure your NMO antenna has a spring loaded button contact and not a flat contact like the cheaper models! Look at the picture to see what kind of antenna base you need…

Pros
  • This is a quality, low profile base that gets the job done. The 13ft NMO cable easily connects to the antenna and there is enough cable to connect an antenna installed almost anywhere in your vehicle/car.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

beautiful; so good: antennas

very good antenna mount/stand. Consistently high quality building material; even the strut seems to be nickel/chrome(?) plated. I put a piece of cloth between the mount and the car paint to avoid ruining the car's paint. `seems to work EXCELLENT. I'm happy .

Pros
  • great price
