It does exactly what it's supposed to do: hold a water bottle. I use 24 ounce water bottles on my road bike. With the standard holders, the spout constantly grabs and pulls on my brake cable every time I take the bottle out or put it back in. This holder solved that problem. I've ridden on bad roads and it keeps the bottle in place. If you install it on the seat tube, it's a left-hand pullout.

This side access bottle cage makes it easy to get a bottle on and off my narrow frame bike (Giant FastRoad CoMax 1). to separate the sides enough to fit in my 1000ml camelbak eddy. It held up strong on my semi-smooth or rough paved road. The only downside is that the non-rounded edges can scratch the sides of the swirl bottle, hence the 3 stars. If you don't care about scratches, I recommend this cage.

The cage itself is beautiful and very light. Five stars for construction. props for it. But in cycling, where our frame bags often get in the way of regular cages, we need side-loading cages, and this cage doesn't fit. It doesn't actually allow you to sideload the bottle as the name suggests. It allows you to load the bottle at a steeper angle than a traditional cage, but is not at all suitable for frame bag touring bikes. Zero stars for usefulness as described in the title.

Lightweight, good design, easy to install. Please note that depending on the mounting location, it can be available for both right-handed and left-handed users. I have already bought at least 4 of these for all my bikes. I accidentally left my water bottle in the cage and left with my bike on the bike rack and when I parked my bottle was still there. Bought these cages for my white Giant Defy 1. The design is such that you need to be careful if you have a small frame. The part that keeps the bottle from falling out of the ground can rub against the frame at the bottom of the triangle. I used helicopter tape to avoid damaging the frame. After I installed the pump mount, the cage no longer touched. Spacers do the same. I've been using them for a season and have never dropped a bottle. They hold tight and can be adjusted to the specific bottle

Bought this for my new bike because the mounting points were minimal and it has a sleek modernist style. Haven't had a chance to use it on the road yet but I'm sure it will work well as it's my second Ibera cage. I bought two of these for my road bike. I found that the one on my seatpost wasn't tight enough and my water bottle (a standard insulated bike bottle) popped out a few times. Compressing the cage solved this problem, but hopefully this stays compressed. Another issue is that the paint on the inside of the bottle cage has worn off after a 60 mile ride. A little over 3 hours of driving had the paint removed from the inside of the cage. Update: 300 miles later: The paint on the inside has worn off

I bought this because I would otherwise have to use smaller bottles on a regular cage and even then the nipple would hit the top tube when removing it. Full size bottle goes in and out easily! After receiving this one and seeing how well it worked, I ordered another one and added it to the seat tube. This would require shorter, lower volume bottles and I would have to "learn" to remove them with my left hand, but without this cage the water bottle mount was useless. There was no way to get even
