Easy to install and detach for both humans and cats!

Installation took about 15 seconds and is probably the most liberating thing I've ever bought in my life. No need to herd cats at night before bed - literally - this is awesome. They come and go as they please and are as happy and free as I am. I have a small cat and a much larger cat; The big cat is wiry and can slip through the smaller door using a special "cat origami" technique they seem to have mastered. However, if it ever "gets full," it won't fit through that door. I suggest a large…

Works with small gauge

My windows have a track that is smaller on the sides than below - see photo. The width on the sides is only 5/8 which means the cat flap will not fit. But I just removed the adjustable tips and used a vise to gently bend the fins inward. (You still need to remove them if you need to remove the bottom silver buttons, which I had to do). You will need to use needle nose pliers to hold the rods to loosen the screws. I unscrewed the first screw with a screwdriver, but I was afraid of tearing off…

Definitely worth it.

As expected, it took my cats a while to get used to it. The youngest is 9 years old and picked him up in about three weeks. The eldest is 16 years old and it took about two months and a long weekend when no one was around to open the door for her to understand this. It's an incredible relief when they don't meow every 15 minutes to be let in or out. currently. Senior is still confused and forgets from time to time, but mostly fine. This is a very well made item, looks like it belongs entirely…

Cats love it and so do we!

We recently bought a house that was built in the 1950's with a large back yard but no door leading to the back yard. We are renovating the house and plan to convert the window to a door at some point. We took the cats out of the garage to the backyard (they can't jump over the fence as we put a net on it). This got annoying as the cats wanted to come back 15 minutes later and then wanted to come back 15 minutes later. Product installation was easy. I put a futon under the cat door on the inside

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Does the job

Ordered this for our cat after realizing there was no longer a litter box in the house. We placed it in the bedroom window on the side of the house. We have a regular foundation, so our window sills are far off the ground. Since our cat is older, we built a small, unobtrusive staircase up the brick wall to the windowsill for her. It took about 4-5 days to teach him how to use the stairs and get in and out of the door. He's a bit stubborn and stubborn as a cranky old man, but that was achieved…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
