Inexpensive replacement for an OEM part

This part was a direct replacement for an OEM part and worked perfectly. It had an extra flange at the bottom (probably for compatibility with a wider range of ranges) but this didn't affect the fit in any way. It worked right away. And a lot cheaper than original parts I've found.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Out of fashion

This igniter lit our fire!

Our oven no longer works. It will be fun to smell and not get hot. The igniter "glows" but the stove will not light. We researched the part number through the manufacturer. We then looked up the part number on Revain and found it to be cheaper than what the OEM wanted. Installation was easy and worked great! He made a great Thanksgiving turkey! I would recommend this to everyone!

Not an exact replacement

The igniter was not an exact replacement. I had to move the element to the old mount and replace the electrical connector with the old one. Luckily they contained ceramic wire nuts. The element part fits the old bracket perfectly, just pull the new one out of the shiny bracket and insert it into the old bracket. Seems to work well - and the price was about $60 less than elsewhere (which might have been a perfect replacement, who knows...).

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are drawbacks

Fits Maytag Gas Range MGRH752BDW

We have Maytag Gas/Propane Range Mod# MGRH752BDW. The stove took 10 minutes or more to light and seemed to have trouble maintaining a constant temperature. After reading about this problem on several appliance repair sites, I narrowed it down to the ignition module. This part fitted perfectly, the mounting holes and electrical connector matched perfectly. Installed on 03/19/2021 after installation. the oven switches itself off after approx. 10 seconds. I will update this if there are other…

Oven lighter solved the problem

This part solved my problem. My oven took 30-40 minutes to preheat. My old stove lighter still glowed brightly, but research has shown that even if it does glow, it may not be working properly and replacing it fixed the issue for most people. Since Revain was half the price of other sites, I decided to replace it and see if that was the problem. It was easy to replace, although I had to pull the cooker forward to loosen it. With this replacement my oven has now reached 350F in 8 minutes. The…

The oven works! on Oven Parts and Accessories

My Maytag Oven will not heat. I could see the igniter glow, but the gas was not supplied and did not ignite. A quick internet search revealed that while the igniter was glowing, it could still be bad. I won't go into detail, but basically the igniter is electrically equivalent to the "safety" gas valve. If the igniter fails completely, the gas valve will not open. However, as the igniter ages, its electrical properties can change, and while it is glowing it will not allow the gas valve to open.

Do it yourself and save hundreds of dollars!

Our gas cooker has stopped working. After researching the issue on Google and watching the "Replace" video on Youtube, it turned out to be an easy fix, bad igniter or "glowstick". My husband couldn't move the stove far enough to separate the pilot from the back of the stove. He had to disconnect the gas line first. Removing the pilot before ordering a new one made it easier to get the match, especially with regards to the wiring harness. We found the right part and my husband installed it 15…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Bad experience

I don't know how long this will take, but even if I have to buy 10 more I'll still get further than buying an OEM igniter. I had to cut the connection point off the old igniter and screw it onto the new one as the connections were different. 2 small ceramic nuts are included in the kit. MAKE SURE YOU PREPARE THE WIRES TOGETHER WITH THE PLIERS BEFORE INSTALLING THE NUTS OR YOU WILL NOT BE CAPTURED. The small tab that attaches the igniter to the flame tube fits perfectly. I had to bend the top of
