We taught our 8 year old to play cards and he had a hard time holding his cards while playing. We used chip clips but they didn't have the amazing grip that they have! They are spring loaded and easy to use. My only complaint is that one of them arrived broken and completely unusable. Plus, we really love these holders. When I ordered I didn't know that 2 decks of cards were included. It was a nice surprise bonus! Great family playset!

At first glance they seem cheap, especially the springs inside. However, if you use them, they work pretty well, and I think they'll hold up if you don't leave them open all the time. Regular playing cards such as those supplied with these holders slide in and out but are still held securely. They can be lifted so you don't have to hold them all the time.
