Good quality, good for sewing

This frame is well made and comes with two sizes of dowels which is a nice touch. I think it works great as a circular frame for smaller projects, but I'm working on HAED and it's pretty massive. I had to order a 36" dowel from Etsy to fit my project. It's nice that it holds excess fabric when embroidering, but using it as a knee frame with dowels that long is a bit clumsy. so that you can embroider comfortably. Big projects don't fit on your lap. I almost wish there was more room at the bottom

Pros
  • Holding my fists

You will not regret this purchase

This is the first hoop I've bought to embroider and I'm so glad I did! I was really worried about the high price but I'm so glad I bought this product. I love it! I work on a lot of embroidery and the traditional hoop doesn't fit. What I particularly like about this frame is that it sits on my lap. Of course, the frame I use is wider than my knees, but I just put it on a pillow and it works great. I looked at the floor stand models and was concerned that I would be constantly bending forward…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • I'm nervous

A good choice for me

I decided to test this hoop along with another hoop type. The first was the AMERICAN DREAM PRODUCTS adjustable oak lap frame. I liked this one but it didn't match the chair I use. I was willing to move to another chair if I decided it was worth leaving. Then I tried The Doodler. i really like this one. The workmanship was great and the size was perfect. As someone else posted, it took me a bit of time to find the right position to use it, but I did it and it's great. It's so easy to flip it…

Pros
  • Designed for medium needle, cross stitch, circle stitch, embroidery, perforation and many other embroidery work
Cons

Check out these handles

I've been using this frame for three months and was happy with it until yesterday when I got it noticed that one of the handles stopped working. Of course, the metal insert holding the screw was missing. I know it was at the beginning because I read and checked the reviews. I ordered a replacement set of 4 pens from etsy for $9 plus $4 shipping. I love the frame but the grip failure at this price point is ridiculous. The FWIW frame arrived safe and sound, connects easily and looks great. It…

Customer service is incredible.

After giving this product a really positive review, I had to replace it because after a week of use, one of the handles failed to tighten and I believe another also fails. It was an expensive item, especially with international shipping. I should have listened to other reviews saying the same thing but I was hoping there were just a mistake or two. Thread does not allow this. This also means that the cross-stitch canvas never stays completely taut and has to be constantly tensioned. It doesn't…
