Great tool-free case

I bought this case because I needed more external hard drives and was tired of having a screwdriver around to take the hard drive out of my old case. It goes very well with my new HGST Travelstar 2.5" 1TB 5400RPM SATA 6Gb/s 8MB Cache (0J22413) Internal Hard Drive (HTS541010A9E680). The cover is easy to remove, a firm push is enough to fix it in the case. I had to bend the SATA connector a bit to connect the drive and fit in the case.I'm sure it won't hurt if you're careful.A foam pad isโ€ฆ

Weak soldering for USB connector

The soldering for USB connector was very weak and broke within a week of purchase. Maybe I got a bad one? I wanted to love it but the fact is it broke after 1 week. [UPDATE] Customer service was fantastic and they sent me a new case as soon as they saw my review, but the same thing happened to the one they sent as a replacement. It took several months, but unfortunately exactly the same problem. If this and its cord stay in the same place on your desk then it's a great product and it will mostโ€ฆ

The most portable 2.5 inch body and great performance!

I *LOVE* this hard drive! I have literally dozens of external drives that I use in addition to the small SSD in my 2015 Macbook Pro for convenient backup or just to get data faster than a USB drive, I usually buy more expensive multi-port aluminum cases ranging from $80-$150, but this time I needed an ultra-light and ultra-small drive because I need to take it everywhere I'm hoping for one M.2 configuration. , but M.2 external drive enclosures aren't ready for prime time just yet. I took aโ€ฆ
