Description of Indicator Aligning Calibrating Machinery Presses Power & Hand Tools

Aligning your workshop machinery can be very frustrating. Sometimes a tape measure, ruler and a firm fist bump just won’t cut it. If you desire to have your machinery working at optimal levels then look no further than the A-LINE-IT DELUXE Machinery and Tool Alignment System. Get the precision you want out of your machinery without having to break the bank. After all, much like a car, your machinery is an investment that needs to be tuned up and maintained. One of the most common machines that need to be aligned and maintained is our table saws. As we use them, the fence and saw blade amongst other parts tend to slightly shift over time. The A-LINE-IT DELUXE has all the necessary pieces to the puzzle to help you identify what needs to be addressed in order to get your table saw in tip top shape again. You can easily identify, saw blade straightness, fence run-out, arbor run-out and flange run-out. One of the reasons you’ll appreciate this system is the self-adjusting “Smart Bar” that will stay tight in a miter slot that isn’t the same size along it’s slot length. You only need to adjust the spring plungers once, and after that, its a perfect fit in the miter slot. This makes the measuring process much more efficient since you don’t need to keep shimming or adjusting the miter bar for a snug fit. Another thing you will appreciate is that with the A-LINE-IT DELUXE, you get everything you’ll need to thoroughly check your machines in one package. The spring and nut assembly, as an example, makes the A-LINE-IT DELUXE the only tool in the US that will allow you to determine whether the run-out in the saw blade is caused by the blade, the arbor, or a combination of both. Being able to determine this is vitally important to achieve the best running table saw possible. The A-LINE-IT DELUXE includes the following: Dial Indicator in .001” increments, 22 assorted and interchangeable dial indicator tips, 11” long bar with 12 adjustment holes, smart miter bar with spring loaded adjustable plungers, threaded 1/2” diameter steel drill press chuck pin, the exclusive arbor nut run-out kit, planer bar (for checking run-out on planers with knife style cutter heads) and detailed instructions.

Table saw and more!

Let me just say that I had HIGH expectations for this item (considering the price for a deluxe or full set). :) It more than lives up to the hype. I have found that I now have a new hammer and there are many nails in the store. Now I find the setup process much easier and clearer - I highly recommend this thing! :)

Buy it. quick and easy blade check.

I love this thing! Good instructions, easy to assemble. I bought this for some sanity. Now I feel like it's lined up correctly, don't worry. Feels good, is durable and looks good. I don't have anything to test the indicator's accuracy, but I have no reason to doubt it. I checked 3 times and was consistent. By the way, I'm talking about table saw blade alignment. So I recommend.

Pros
  • Happy for now
Cons
  • Keep calm

Works as described, too expensive for what you get.

Bought and returned. Three stars because it works and works as described, but it's a MUCH ALL RIGHT PRICE for what it is. Poor quality caliber, supplied tips are good but fit and finish is poor. Overall I think it would be a good price at $60-$70 but I can't justify the $140+ price tag. I should have trusted other reviews and avoided this.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Cool tool!: Table saw accessories

Slightly expensive but really cool tool. I've only used it to mount a drill chuck on my press' cross slide and it works great! Has many other uses like checking drill bit strike and getting saw blades on the table and probably many more that I hadn't thought of. It was a welcome addition to my shop. The dial gauge isn't the best, but it does the job. I think I'll wear it and then buy a better one.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Both a blessing and a curse

This tool set me back. I thought all my cars were fine before the A-Line-It came to my house, but this thing quickly enlightened my delusions. But after several intensive tuning sessions, I now know that my machines are perfectly orthogonal, parallel, coplanar, etc. Being unfamiliar with this tool, it took me a little longer to learn how to do things properly. This kit comes with a DVD but wasn't helpful as I didn't have a DVD player to use it (they really should put the video on their website…

Pros
  • Awakens trust
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Nice concept but needs improvement in design and production.

I bought a Grizzly G0771Z table saw with a cast iron table and needed a tool to align and stop the saw. 3 popular instruments are available: Saw Gauge by Woodpeckers, Digital Aligner by I-Gauging and A-Lign-It by In-line Industries. I first bought a saw gauge, couldn't get any repeatable measurements, the whole concept of registering from the bottom of the bevel and the bottom from the top of the bevel is like asking the dentist to fix your teeth through your ear, why? it's so hard to get it…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • negative is present

Versatile and accurate

Really very comfortable. It works great with multiple devices such as: table saws, drill presses, planers, planers, band saws and more. The deluxe set is more expensive than the regular set because it contains all the parts needed to calibrate most machines in a carpentry shop. After much research, I chose this tool because of its versatility to be used on different types of devices. Not only can it be used for several different instruments, but also for several different types of measurements…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not the best
