I'm pretty tech savvy, but this thing isn't exactly intuitive. It took some time to figure out how to use it. Once I figured it out, it was perfect for a quick read of my 48 volt (12 cell) lithium batteries. I'm considering getting a few more for my other batteries. I don't rely on that alone. This is more for quick orientation.

For the price it was pretty easy to install despite being on my golf cart but please read how to use the settings menu as not entirely clear how to should be? The carts know what the cans are and you can use a voltmeter to find 48 volts etc. I used the ignition switch and found the common ground plate, it took about 2 hours from removing the dash to putting it back!

Delivery was on time and hooked up to the 12v Li-ion battery in less than 5 minutes. After an hour of use, the device still showed 100% battery, but the voltage dropped from 14.5 to 12.5 and continued to drop rapidly. It was around this time that the battery gauge (finally) started dropping rapidly. The moral of the story is don't rely on the battery gauge, look at the voltmeter. It's far from perfect, but this solution works for me and the price is right.

The device comes without installation or user instructions. I went back to the post and copied the manuals available. The device does not respond as described in this manual. I can show percentage of charge or voltage and that's what I really wanted to see. So the device works as I wanted, but not because of an included manual. Do not purchase this device if you do not understand the basics of electrical wiring and an electric meter.

Another cheap Chinese product with no papers. I hate buying something and then spending the first half hour (45 minutes) trying to figure out how to use it. There are some basic instructions on the Revain product page, but you cannot print them out as you can only read them by clicking the cursor. Works very well when I think I've set it up correctly. The instructions were a bit confusing but after reading them a few times I figured it out. I installed it in a sea hut with no electricity when I installed solar power. I'll update it after I'm back this weekend and see if it measures capacity correctly.
